2. How much notice do I need to give?
This depends on our availabilty as when moving in a busier period there is a chance we will be fully booked but to ensure a booking we recommend confirmation around 2-3 weeks before your move.

3. How many men and vehicles will you supply? Are they trained?
We will work out the number of men and vehicles required to ensure the works are completed on time. All our men are fully trained and we carry out regular quality control checks to ensure this is kept to the high standard we expect.

4. Do you carry out packing?
We will carry out as much or as little packing as you require and will give you a written specification of what is included. For more information on our packing services click here.

5. What about insurance?
With Perry's, insurance is entirely optional. Most household policies include cover for removals that are carried out by Professional Companies and those which are members of the BAR, The British Association of Removers. So just check your existing policy and you may save money.
By offering you Insurance as an option, you will not pay VAT on the Insurance premium. With VAT at 20% this can amount to a big saving.
New for Old cover is available from us but is considerably more costly and most household policies that cover removals will offer you New for Old much cheaper, so check with your Insurer to ensure you don't pay for cover you already have.
You can purchase Standard Indemnity Insurance from Perry's at £10 for every £5,000 of goods value. Remember don't include in your declaration any goods that are not going on to the lorry. (Things like jewellery, watches, mobile phones, cameras etc. can amount to quite a high value and are not included in any Removal Insurance or Liability cover). 6. What about my fridges and freezers? Do you have a power supply on the lorry?
We dont have power supplies to run any appliances whilst on the lorry so we highly recommend you run down your fridge/freezers so that we can carry them dry.

7. How big are the lorries?
The sizes of each of our vehicles are:

3.5 Tonnes = 6.5m long (21'6") - Need to reserve 8m for loading

7.5 Tonnes = 8m long (27') & 3.82m high (12'9") - Need to reserve 10m

14 Tonnes = 10m long (34') & 4.1m high (13'4")- Need to reserve 14m

14 Tonnes + Trailer = 16m long (54') - Space reservation to be advised

8. What about my clothes? What about expensive or large items?
We have all the packing equipment and expertise needed to move almost any item. For clothes we provide wardrobe cartons so your clothes can travel on hangers. For expensive or large items we will use our experience and accredited techniques to cope with them - we are big enough to cope but small enough to care.
